Consultation offer
If you are unsure whether to proceed with an assessment, we can offer a 30 minute telephone consultation. This is an opportunity for us to gather some information and we will be able to provide you with further information about our services. Following which, we can advise whether we feel it would be beneficial to proceed with an assessment. We offer honest and fair recommendations. Should you choose to proceed with an assessment following this consultation, the fee will be deducted from the cost of your assessment.
For children aged 3-6 years old, we offer a consultation appointment prior to proceeding with any diagnostic appointments. This consultation is to help explore relevant factors to help ensure that the correct assessments are completed or to consider if other assessments may be more helpful initially.
Please note, we are a diagnostic only service and we do not provide medication.

After deciding to proceed with an ASD assessment through our service, you are then required to complete an initial registration form.
On receipt of your completed registration form, we then send an invoice to pay the fee.
Following receipt of your fee, we will then send you a school questionnaire. It’s helpful if someone at school who knows your child well now, and has known them well in the past completes this questionnaire.
It is also helpful if we receive any available professional reports for example, Speech and language, Educational psychology, EHCP, hospital letters etc.
We will then conduct an appointment with the child’s parent to assess the child’s developmental history. This can be done via telephone/video call with one of our team. This appointment lasts approximately 90-180 minutes. This assessment may take place over two appointments depending on the extent of detail provided and the clinician will discuss this will you at the time. If at any point during the assessment process it becomes apparent the child would benefit from Speech and Language assessment or Occupational Therapy assessment, this will be discussed with you.
Your child will then be invited for an Autism diagnostic observational Schedule- second edition (ADOS-2). This assessment will be completed face to face at our Bolton office.
Members of the assessment team meet and discuss the assessment findings to consider the differential diagnosis or co-morbid conditions and consider recommendations.
Finally, you will meet with a member of our team for your feedback appointment. This can be completed remotely or face to face in clinic. Your diagnostic report will be discussed with you at your feedback appointment and you will receive a copy via email/post.
